Rattle drivng me crazy
There is this rattle driving me crazy coming from under my car in the area near the y-pipe. It only does it when the car is in drive. When it is in park it stops. Would anyone have an idea what it is?

Same exact thing happened to me when I got my Y installed, im auto and it only happens when im in "D". It seems like the y pipe is touching something that it shouldn't be. Im probably going to just wait until I get a cat-back to do anything about, I doubt it'll be difficult to fix, maybe some header wrap to insulate the areas that are making contact

Could it be the heat shield?

if you got a rattle under idle I can't think of it being anything other than your heatshielding. Leave your car running and get underneath, heatshielding is very easy to bend to eliminate rattling, just remember not to touch the exhaust piping. and don't drink excessive amounts of alcohol before doing it either. or smoke crack

I don't know if this is the same as your problem but this was mine. I installed the WS Y-pipe and everything worked great. The only problem was when I put the car under heavy load (downshift, floor it) a buzzing/rattling would happen occur right underneath the shifter for a split second (auto)
I put the car up on a lift and had someone power brake it and give it some gas (to apply load, in neutral the rattling would not occur) What I saw was the Y-pipe shifting around like it was a bear caught in a trap (thats why a heavy flex section is a must.)
I bent a few things out of the way and now it works great, and no noise.
Instead of doing somthing dangerous like jacking your car up and power braking it, just look under your car where the flex section is, now imgaine that your Y-pipe needs about 1.5 - 2 inches of clearence around it. Bend anything that conflicts with this out of the way.
I hope this helps.

Well, I found out that the rattling is my failed Carsound Cat. I am hopin that I can get ir replaced free of cost. I still have my warranty certificate. Does anyone think I will have a problem getting a new one? Is Warpspeed an easy company to deal with for returns or replacements?
