Apexi WS muffler to 2k1 muffler...any loss in power?
I'm considering swapping out the Apexi WS muffler to a 2k1 muffler. The Apexi WS muffler isn't too loud, but I like something quieter now, just want a change. Switching from the WS muffler to the 2k1 muffler, would that have any effect on power? I'm still going to keep the bpipe section of the Apexi. Btw, I have a WSP ypipe and WSP test pipe along with the Apexi.

Well I haven't got the 2k1 muffler yet. When I do sell it, it won't be the whole catback, just the Apexi WS muffler because I'm keeping the bpipe section.

Do what i did to my Apexi, I got a hold of one of those exhaust silencer for a 4" tip and modified the length to fit my Apexi exhaust. It still has the low rumble on acceleration and it's quiet at cruising speed.

im in a dilema(sp). should i get a 2k muffler or try to get a silencer for my apexi or put on a ractive universal muffler which i already bought.
mike i would like to get a hold of the your muffler if your going to get rid of it. i know the ws is quieter than my dunk.
post up and ill pm ya.
i think the sliencer idea would make my exhaust look stupid. i dunno. plus i hear you lose a lot power with one installed.
the only reason i havent jumped on a 2k muffler is cause i dont want that tincan sound i have from stock muffler with no resanators.

You could try a glasspack muffler in-line after the cat. That way you wouldn't have the silencer stuck in your exhaust tip, and it would still be quieter. I used an 18" glasspack oriented with the flow with a Flowmaster 2-chamber, and it helped the sound considerably.
The only drawback to going this route would be that you can't just pop the silencer out when you go to the track.
Hope this helps,

I think I'm going to stick with the Apexi muffler. A friend and I took a look under my car today. I think my ypipe might have a leak in it somewhere. It sure sounded like a leak that's for sure. Would a leak in the ypipe make the exhaust tone different/sound crappy?

I think the leak on my ypipe is coming from the flex section too. Also there is this annoying buzzing sound coming from the flex section. When I put the ypipe on, I didn't use new gasket, I reused the old ones. Not sure if that had any effect or not.
