Dash Kit

hey guys..i got a 98 gle with wood trim and i want to get brushed aluminum...i dont wanna put the new kit over the wood (looks crappy) what do i hafta do..someone told me to take out the wood because its just molded plastic...buy the base trim (black/carbon color)and put it in...and then put the new kit over the newly installed base trim..is this correct..gimme some feedback...thanx!

Remove the stock wood pieces, sand them down and paint them black, then reintall them. Then you can put the aliminum kit over it wihtout it looking dumb.

if its stock wood trim, i don't think u can take it off, plus why destroy the wood when you can find someone on org or ebay to buy them?

i would just go on org, see if u can find someone who would trade their black for your wood with a little money on the side and poof, your new dash will fit properly without having to worry about little signs of wood sticking out the aluminum....
