I need to know the 99 SE/ GLE difference!

When I bought mine, I was told, and I have assumed I bought an SE. The car has the 5 spoke rims, foglights, matching door trim, white face gauges, and it's a 5spd....most to which made me familiar of which is an SE. I mean, it looks like an SE. The spare tire size is same as the "non- LSD" according to the manual, which kinda stoked me a bit. I finally got my proof of insurance today, and they did all the coding information, and came up that the car is a GLE So I'm not sure what I have.

You have an SE. Don't worry about what your insurance company calls it.

Insurance companies probably have no idea what trim level your car is. My car is an SE, but its listed as a GXE on my insurance card. Check your vin number, theres a way to tell what trim it is. (Search)

Progreesive has both of my Se's 97 and 02 listed as GLE's, thats good in case something happens GLE's have a slightly better value.

My insurance says me SE is a GLE too. I think it is because of the options, like leather and Bose.

Thats probably a good thing because I believe some companies charge slightly more for an SE.

The major difference between GLE and SE is that a GLE only comes with automatic transmission. You say yours is a 5 spd. so it could only be an SE or GXE.

Since the 5 speed has body color door handles and white face gages, it is most definitely an SE
