I need to know the 99 SE/ GLE difference!
I need to know the 99 SE/ GLE difference!
When I bought mine, I was told, and I have assumed I bought an SE. The car has the 5 spoke rims, foglights, matching door trim, white face gauges, and it's a 5spd....most to which made me familiar of which is an SE. I mean, it looks like an SE. The spare tire size is same as the "non- LSD" according to the manual, which kinda stoked me a bit. I finally got my proof of insurance today, and they did all the coding information, and came up that the car is a GLE
So I'm not sure what I have.

Insurance companies probably have no idea what trim level your car is. My car is an SE, but its listed as a GXE on my insurance card. Check your vin number, theres a way to tell what trim it is. (Search)

Since the 5 speed has body color door handles and white face gages, it is most definitely an SE

The major difference between GLE and SE is that a GLE only comes with automatic transmission. You say yours is a 5 spd. so it could only be an SE or GXE.
