really sorry to hear all that... but like everyone is saying, u can get those parts here on the ORG by finding members selling em.

BTW- while you're spending money to fix the front end, see if u can save up and get either bigger tires or better rims... the wheel gap and tiny tires gotta goooooooo

edit: according to your handle name, i'm assuming that's a 95 max... BEST TIME TO CONVERT TO 97+ FRONT END

Thank you all for responding. i am surprized at the amount of people who really posted. you guys are great. well in responce to what happened:

i was going around a turn going about 40 and i hit black ice. all of a sudden my car just started slidng and i had no traction. i painic because i was about to hit a oncoming car to i was turning the wheel franticly to regain control. i missed the car by about 2-4 feet but then i finally grabed onto some pavement and my car literly whipedto the other side causing my car to fish tail and then go into a full blown spin. i thought this was imposiable due to our odd front/rear weight ratio. (i think it is 66/44?) anyway i spun one around and hit a bridge railing on a slight angleand then bounced back off to ge into another small spin. i ended up sideways in the middle of the road with my car and my heart crushed.

i had my 95 maxima for almost a year (which was faster then my max now) and i had no accidents. i am so upset with myself that this happened. like i said before i sold my 95 max and didn't get my car now untill 3 months later. 3 MONTHS! so now that i fianlly got it, one week later i crashed it. how depressing. it's back to getting rides from my moms boyfriend again.

i was un-injured... that is untill the adrenilin ran out of my body (3 hours later). my back is now killing me which is now traveling up my neck. i went to work right after the accident and towards the end of the day i could no longer stand up. i had my g/f give me a back rub and call it good enough. i'll see how i feel after tomorrow. if it gets worse i will go see a doctor.

the damage it suposedly bad... th frame is slightly warped.. here is a picture, i circled the parts that are important.
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...54_26_full.jpg
these square holes HAVE to be square for everything to go back together corectly. both of them are kind of mangled. the right one is more so then the left one. ill see what else is needed.

well i am sorry i went into so much detail, and that i talked so much, but i had to get this off my chest. talk to you later guys.

oh and this max is a 98 gle with 62,000 miles on it, which WAS in perfect condition. grey leather automatic

bye

I took a look at the car with Chris tonight, heres what I saw wrong.. Needs a new radiator, radiator support, hood, bumper, fogs, clear corners headlights and... Well the guy at the shop says the frame is bent to the side, I don't think the frame really needs to be touched though, it's so damn minor. The shop says thats $750 right there? Pulling the fra,e a little, seems pricey.. I don't trust the shop or the peope who work there, if it was my car I would bust out the hammer, fix the radiator support and the minor bend in the frame. Ohh and the front left fender has minor damage(repairable)

The car is a 98 GLE.

although it doesn't look that bad, my first max had a lot of frame damage causing it to be totaled...frame damage is the most expensive to fix so be fortunate your problems have a contact point of only the front...mine was quoted 5,000+ to fix....TOTALED

yea, but you are lucky... your accident was not your fault, and they found blame to be on the person who hit you. which means that they pay for your repairs. i have to pay out of my pocket because i do not have full covarge. (full coverage for my car is $863 a month for me.)

:UPDATE:

OOOOOO i am so mad. my brothers g/f's uncle has his own shop, and he agreed to fix my car for a discounted price... which is great. but i have a problem now. at the time of the accident i had it towed back to where i bought the car. now he is holding the car and will not let me take it to go get it fixed somewhere else. he said "it has to be fixed here because you do not have full coverage on you car, and you still owe $2,230 on the car, so technicly the car is not yours, and we can reposess it at any time we want."

THIS IS SO MESSED UP!! is this true about what they are saying? or are they taking advantage of me because i am only 19years old and they think i am stupid? *sigh*

Did you sign any type of contract that states it must be repaired there, if damaged??? Man, this is one shady dealer!

Edit: personally, i think he's BSing you so you give him more $$$. Read through all your paperwork. If none of your paperwork says that you have to repair it there, lets go visit him.

That dealer crap talk sounds really shady.

It sounds like you're paying monthly for your car. If you haven't missed your payments, they have no right to repossess the car.

It is also your choice on where you want to fix it. If you haven't asked them to do any work yet (just an estimate), you should be able to have it towed to a repair facility of your choice.

Make a friendly visit to your local police station and talk to someone and get his name and tel. #. I'm sure that if the dealer tries to pull that on you again, a little phone call would be really nice.

It's also your choice on where you choose to service the car.

i don't think they can do that unless you did sign something, but they can charge you for storage fee though, like $15-$30 a day,

sorry to hear about the car!!! like has been said before though. it really doesn't look like enough damage was done to warrant fixing the frame (from what i can see in that pic at least...). just get the parts that've been damaged on the front end replace and you'll be good to go. as said, now's the best time to do some front end changes, i.e. skyline bumper.... also, that dealer is FOS. that car is not able to be repossessed until a breach of the payment contract. even then, that would have nothing to do about where you pay to have your car fixed. walk in their, get your keys and drive your car out. if they truly wanna be jerks about it, take proper paperwork to the police station showing the bank loan, etc etc and that you are the owner of the car rightfully and just get a civil escort to pick it up. we've give those to people at work before. just sucks your dealers doing that.. good luck!

Sorry to hear about your car. I remember you though, you are the guy that bought this car and had the same wheels as mine. Well I hit a deer about a month ago. The parts I needed.
hood, fender, headlights, corners, blinkers, fogs, fender.
$500 for body parts and about 450 in lights

I was just like you no full coverage. It is like 200 a month. Thats not that bad, but when I had it I had a small tree fall on my 96 trunk lid and I couldnt even use the full coverage without paying a $1000 deductable. But anyways I dont think yours is that bad at all. And that guy at the dealership is probibly just telling you that s#it to get more money out of you.

Oh yeah one last thing, if worst comes to worst. ****** this wheel off for me. I got curb rash on mine Well good luck either way.

Thanks for all your replys...

i now realize that the dealer can not do this to me. this is my car and it says NOWHERE in all the paper work i have that it HAS to be fixed in his garage. so i told my brother about what is going on, and he agreed to go down there with me and talk to the guy. well we went, but he was not there. so we talk to the mechanic that i talked to last night. this guy was yelling at me lastnight, and now all of a sudden he is all nice to my brother saying that he doesn't know anything and that he is just the middle man. WHAT THE HECK! i just talked to him last night and he was telling me and i quote: "this is the way it has to be, and there is nothing you can do about it, and we are ready to give our lawyer a call and take this to the furthest extent of the law as posiable." now he is "just a middle man who knows nothing" i hate being a kid.

anyways i should let you guys know something, i am not sure if it matters or not, but i am not going through a bank for the loan. it is actually weird how this is going on. what the deal does is he has this one guy that gives him the money for all the cars on the lot. when someone buys a car off the lot, this guy gets his money back, and the dealer makes a % of profit. so i didn't go through a bank, and i pay $100 a week untill the car is payed off. i put 8 grand down, and owe $2,230. so he is saying that seing that i still owe %20 of the car, my car is not really not my car. the guy has say over what i do with it.

i do not have a scanner, but i took pictures of the 2 pages that i have from the dealer. they are big in size: 673 kilobytes each. 3/4 of a meg. i would have made them smaller, but then you would not be able to see the words. there are two pics fro every page...

here is a pic of the bill of sale:

http://images.cardomain.com/installs...54_28_full.jpg
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...54_29_full.jpg

And here is a pic of the repossesion agreement:
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...54_32_full.jpg
http://images.cardomain.com/installs...54_33_full.jpg

sorry this is so long guys.

me and my brother are going back there tonight at 5ish and we are going to talk to this slime ball. i will post an update.

Tell him your consulting a lawyer. And that on top of the suit will be time lost due to not having a car for work, or their storage fee's ect. Whether you are or not does not matter yet. Sometimes just the fear of you having one makes them a little nervous.

dONT FEEL SO BAD, BECAUSE when I wrecked my 240sx, there was frame damage, your max doesnt seem to need any frame repair, so you're lucky. Just get a new hood (why dont u try carbon fiber now, get an aftermarket (www.custom maxima.com) skyline bumper, and replace the corner and left headlight. Yes this will be about 1600.00 but could be worse.

Hey sorry for the misfortune, I understand how that feels it's happened to me before. I don't know where you live but here in AZ, there is a company called certifit and they have that bumper for under $40 and I don't imagine it will be that expensive to paint. As for the hood, I don't know how much that is but I can find out.

there not allowed to keep your car, they can only repo your car if u dont make a payment...if u are making the payments then its YOUR car and u dont have to get the repairs done at there shop. its good u have a lawyer in store, but u need to get your car fixed and back on the road for your piece of mind. I would call the police and explain the situation. what they are doing is pretty close to stealing your car
