Differential Bearings on I30 LSD and Canadian Maxima LSD

Ok, as we all know, the differential bearings on our 5-speed transmissions are not properly shimmed. Well, in the past 2 weeks, I have gone through three Right side CV axle seals and the axle itself has about 2-4 MM of free-play. Resulting in this, I have bad differential bearings. I have been researching into getting a LSD transmission for some time now and I have a few questions about them. Are the differential bearings on the LSD transmissions (either I30 LSD or Canadian Maxima LSD) properly shimmed? Or, even if I get a LSD tranny, will the differential bearings fail on me? Thanks guys.....

I do know that he has the Canadian Maxima, but does he have the LSD version. Only the Winter Package Maximas were equipped with LSD. Thanks though. (I am trying to avoid tearing apart the transmission).

i got a brand new VLSD tranny from Nissan. 1 month after the waranty expired it went out on me. Started clunking reallly bad in turns like a bad CV joint, then it clunked all the time. driver side axle seal started to leak so i replaced the whole tranny with another.

ZTY Max, a friend of mine, has the same symtoms as me, and i think his tranny is on the way out, I first noticed when i was fixing his shift linkage and i saw fluid leaking out the driver axle. he has slight clunking noise also. His is a 97 with Nissan VLSD tranny, supercharged.

Ok, so basically any 5-speed transmission I get, whether it be LSD or not, will eventually have bearing failures. This is reassurring........Looks like I just may get a LSD tranny and rebuild it myself.....

I am in canada . I have a 5 speed maxima se with LSD and my trans is on my workbench in the basement as we speak. My differential bearings went and I just replaced them. I don't think it matters what type of diff. you have. I think it is an assembly problems or just the tranny sucks. I actually wonder if there are more bearing failures with LSD differntials?
