Have Any of you Replaced your Bucket Seats? Questions

I don't know how you feel about yours, but I would really like some sportier seats. I want to replace them with some cool BMW M3 seats I spotted on eBay, and I want to if anyone has replaced theirs with the seats of a manufacturer other than Nissan... Porshe, Lexus, Bmw etc... Problems I see coming up:

1) Custom Brackets
2) Electronics - motors, and heated (you don't expect me to give up the luxury of motorized seats do you?)

Should I just avoid the hassle and go for newer Nissan/Infinity or aftermarket seats?
Thanks,
-Walter

I know of Prelude seats installed, and 300zx seats installed in a 3rd gen. I dont see why it can't be done, its just going to be a matter of getting custom brackets made to allow them to bolt up to the stock mounts. as far as the motorized seats, as long as they dont have memory, and are just motorized, they should be able to be just wired up with custom wiring. Shouldnt be too difficult.

You also have to make sure of their width. I believe 5th Gen. Maxima front seats do not fit in 4th Gen Maximas due to their width.

Thanks, I forgot to mention that..... I "think" (could be wrong) that the 4th gen seats are like 16" or so inches wide........

Get some measurement of the M3 seats. As long as it doesn't hit the door or the center console, you can always get a metal shop to weld you up some custom brackets. As for the wiring, the controls should be on the seat itself. As long as you give the control brain +12V and ground.

Thanks for the help... I remember hearing somewhere that if the metal shop didn't do the brackets right your whole seat + you might end up through your windshield. Yikes...
I don't currently have heated seats, but I do have the motorized driver's side... will I have to add some special wiring to "give the control brain +12V and ground." for heating and for passenger side seats?
Thanks
