Weight of beam axle?

Hi everyone:

I tried a few search strings but didn't have any luck on this one.
Also tried searching around Yahoo as well.

Anyway, does anybody know the weight of the whole beam axle assembly for the 4th gen?

I would guess its somewhere around 40-50 pounds. I would hope somebody knows for sure.

No idea. I'd give a Nissan parts dealer like Courtesy Nissan a call, and see if one of the guys will be nice enough to weigh an axle in the warehouse for you. I suspect Mossy Nissan would do it, too. My FSM shows nothing about the weight.

With rotors and stuff? Probably more like 75-100 lbs. It's a chunky piece.
