rear sway or front strut??

my parents were going to get me a front strut bar from custom maxima. the problem as many of your know is that they dont have them available yet. so now i am thinking about the progress rear anti-sway bar, but if i have a rear sway bar but no front strut will it be really unbalanced?? i might not get the front strut on for like a month or 2 after i get my rearsway bar, so will that be ok?? what do you guys suggest on the mattter??

thanks, don

You will be fine with an RSB and no FSTB, you will still feel a noticeable improvement and it will be worth the money. I would very much doubt your can can feel any more unbalanced than it is now. Also if they want to get you a smaller present, you can get FSTBs off eBay for about $34 shipped.

I also agree.
If you have time to watch the auction then go ahead. I personally think that some of the cheaper sway bars on ebay are flimsy, and do nothing for handling but looks good. I notice an auction up for a Stillen fsb. Also think if you dont find a Stillen fsb, then try finding ones on ebay that are machined aluminium instead of the tubuler bars. Spend the extra money!

I paid $12 for my FSTB on Ebay and it's very well made, polished aluminum - it has no flex at all. It weighs more than the drilled Stillen ones but I have no doubt that it is as rigid and strong and at $12 vs. $172.21 you can't beat it!

Yeah, the maxima has a lot of understeer stock so the RSB should make it almost even. That is until you get your FSTB.

They are almost the exact same product and sell for the same price. The main difference is the Progress comes with 2 extra brackets (can't be a bad thing) and is powercoated grey, where the Addco bar is powercoated either black or gold. Stillen also makes an RSB, which is a little adjustable (although many people claim the adjustability is bogus), and runs about $235 (powercoated black).

Actually the stillen has better fitment then addco, the bracket fit better than the u bold and ez to adjust.Cause my 1st max i had stillen rsb, tokico and eibach, and the car turn corner very flat. This is my 2nd max,i want to try something different,so i try addco for about half the price of stillen. And i am going to put my eibach and agx on my car this week to complete my suspension mod.
