Need help with ECU codes to save $
Guys, I need help: I got 0901 Front Right Htd 02 sensor heater and 0304 Knock Sensor codes. I doubt that they both died at the same time. Is there an easy way I can test and replace them myself without going to my "friendly" mechanic? By easy I mean december in NYC is not the warmest month in a year. I know that if I'm gonna go to the mechanic his gonna rip me off, better off doing it myself. Can you believe that this ***** charged me $60 for a door-switch air bag light reset back in a day when I was an amateur at this. After seeing this I said "WTF, $60 for this??". He said "The light is off, isn't it?". Nevermind that it came back on a week later. Sorry for the long post.

The knock sensor code is a "dummy code" when the O2 sensor code is tripped. Don't worry about the knock sensor yet. First, replace the O2 sensor.
Get a BOSCH (OEM) O2 sensor from any reputable autoparts establishment. I purhased mine from www.foreignpartsplace.com for $55.00 shipped. Good luck.

I would call all your local dealerships around, talk to em on the phone to get prices and ask "whats the lowest you think you could get that to me buddy". i always save about 25% on anything making friends over the phone real quick..
