Clutch slipping in all gears!

Most noticeable in 4th and 5th. This sucks, its christmas time, and I have no money for clutch jobs now. Is there anything I can do? Would bleeding the clutch help at all temporarily?

Any help is appriciated. Also anyone know of a good installer in the Southwestern CT area the does it for cheap? Or should I just have the dealership do it?

Also someone said earlier about ACT clutches chewing up our trannys. Is this fact or fiction? Thanks guys-

-Chris

Sounds like its slipping esp since it does so more in 4th and 5th gears. Bleeing clutch will not help. Sorry-you need a clutch. I would shy away from the dealer since their labor rates are usually higher. And I have not heard of ACTs tearing up the tranny's. Myabe use the Xmas $ you get from Santa for a clutch? How many miles on it? I have 120K on mine and its still fine...

bummer man

106k on mine (got the car with 102k). It's done this before, and I knew the clutch wasn't very strong when I bought it. Never could chirp 2nd

Well I'll have to live with it until after the holidays. Looks like no more racing for a while.

i have 126,000 miles on mine, no problems...

ACT doesn't hurt the tranny unless u get that 4 or 6 puck ones...if u get the street one, you'll be fine for racing and regular street driving...that's why u get the 'street' one

can be found between 300 and 350 shipped...

Act cluth. Some love it. Some think it is the cause of all their tranny problems.
