question about cv joints...
hey everyone,
i've had this shake at highway speeds for a while. thought it was my tires but now it's getting to be more noticable. people at meineke pointed out a few months ago that my cv boot was slightly ripped and i forgot about it for a while cuz i'm smart. well anyways, i put two and two together and am now looking to buy at www.raxles.com . my questions are, should i do both at the same time? and would you recomend i try to put them in myself or anyone in mass able to help? or should i have done at a mechanic and what should i expect to pay?
background info: just under 91k miles on my 95. also, when i bought the car a year and a half ago one of the boots was ripped but the dealer later replaced for free. so, would it be smart to do both because of their age or should i only do the one i know probably needs to be replaced?
thanx for any help.
