Procarparts.com has 4 pc. Projector headlights for 4th gen......

Don't know if this is old news or not but in the new Sport Compact the ad for Procarparts.com has 4pc projectors listed for 97-99 Maxima for $219.00. It's on page 132. They also have a picture of them on there. They are not listed on there site yet.

Can you scan a picture of them in? I do not get their magazine and I want to see what these look like before I order some BMW headlights......Thanks.

I've been following this for a while. I think that they're just going to be some kind of euro clear headlight but not projectors. It doesn't make sense to me because our headlights are all clear anyway. Don't expect pictures. If you call them up they just treat you like you're retarded and no such thing exists.

Me and an orgmember here (I forget his name) called them a couple of days ago and they told me that there were supposed to be some headlights made for the Max and they weren't due until June.
The member called and spoke to a guy in marketing and was told that that add was a typo. He was told that if there was enough interest and if he got over 500 requests for some type of modified headlight setup, they would possibly make them. I have the full email the org member sent me and I'll post it here unless he see this thread first. Hopefully he'll chime in and give you guys the details of his conversation with procarparts.

I'm pretty sure I was the frst one to talk to them (Sep. 24th). I've also contacted them 2-3 times since with similar results. Here is the original message and the response I got:

Sorry but the editor probably made a mistake, we are not offering the headlights for the Maxima yet. THanks

In this month's Sport Compact Car you advertise headlights for the 97-99 Maxima. Problem is, I can't find them on your website. Please help!

I think they'd better start looking into making them for the Max then and fix their ad.

I think this is a good idea. I'll run this by Kev and
see how we can go about guaging interest in new
products. I think we should make a post with
procarparts email so that we can get members to flood
them with emails.
Let's keep bothering them to make stuff for us.

I received your email this morning. Before we even
make a post to gauge interest we have got to make some
decisions on what the headlight is going too look like
and how is going to perform. If we even start a post
and tell people to send emails, I have a feeling that
the product that is produced by them will appeal more
to the “rice” market and not to the refined market
that the maxima belongs in. I just don’t want to spend
a lot of time on getting something going and have a
headlight that is identical to this

http://www.slickcar.com/bigshot.asp?ProductID=1003

As we all know procarparts.com gets their products
from the same or similar companies as APC. I even
confirmed that with Tim Choi.

A lot of issues need to be addressed. Maybe a poll
with different options on what we want the headlight
to look like and how we want it to perform and cost of
it?

Set a certain time limit on how long the poll is going
to be available. More likely than not the number of
responses on this poll will determine whether or not
this is even feasible.

1 piece style
1 projector for each housing high/low beam or
2 projectors for each housing separate high/low beam
Bulb type (9004 or not)
Angel eyes or not
HID equipped or without
Chrome inside the housing or carbon fiber
Amount of $ you are willing to spend

At this point I am ready to spend upwards of $500.00
on the headlight housing itself. Like I said in my
email I just spent money on a new Osram 8000k HID
conversion kit and the beam pattern sucks but is ten
times better than halogen. If I have to bite the
bullet and buy a different kit to work with the
projector headlights then I’ll do it, but Im not sure
that the greater number of the maxima community are
willing to do the same.

Thanks for your time.

This is the email I sent back to Deezo this morning, I also sent him a private message that I am at work and I cant spend all of my time working on gauaging interest. I would love to do it but at this point im not the most capable. If worse comes to worse and nobody starts something, I'll set up a poll.

Is the CustomMaxima projectors project dead, or are we just looking for another source (More than one source would be great). If their was intrest in 'angel eyes' couldn't they put them in and people who didn't want them could leave them disconnected?

I am intrested in anything that will improve the lighting on my Max. From what I have read the beam pattern with HIDs isn't very good and blinds other drivers becuse of our crappy headlight housing. Illusion Lighting can modify your stock headlights to HID projectors for aroud $700 but you have to send them yor headlights. I was going to wait to see how the CustomMaxima prjectors turned out before I went and spet $700 though.

We'd like to get more companies doing more for Maximas but we would like to get quality parts. We should take anything cheap like a lot of those aftermarket Civic and Accord parts they sell.

I would love to have the one piece Cefiro headlights that an org member posted here, that were painted A.E. stlye.(this would look just like the R33 shylines headlights.)
Or a clear lense with two lamps like the 2K2's, either style I would have high interest in.

price wasn't discussed.

My concern is agreeing on a design and getting it produced, lots of factors are going into the price: quality / design / HID / and last but not least is demand.

Ilusion lighting was mentioned before. They quoted 700 with your exsisting housing. My best guess is that it should be somewhere near that range. Thats only a shot in the dark though. Im not procarparts.com. Its going to be up to them.
