Do i need a new Tranny?

OK i have a 95 GLE with over 120k on the odometer.
Just replaced the 02 and knock sensors.

here are the symptoms of the auto tranny.
Put it into reverse and car feels like it is vibrating
Give it some gas and rpms climb, it slips into gear with a thud.
All forward gears are fine. Only happens in reverse, mainly when engine is cold.

Are we talking rebuild or is there a more cost effective way to fix this. Or should i just ignore it until reverse no longer works?

Thanks
Brian

I have a working AT transmission for sale that you can either replace with or use to combine with yours for a rebuild. Contact me.

Do these symptoms arise when the car has warmed up or when the temperature outside is not so extremely cold? It just may be the weather causing this confusion.......
