Help me decide, selling the Max

I think I am going to sell my car, here's the problem I don't know what to ask for it. I have done the typical lookups on kbb.com and edmunds.com but I think my car is worth a bit more than that. Here's the skinny on it 96 Max, 138K (still gets 25mpg too), aftermarket stereo setup, several performance parts, wheels, tint, blah blah. What do you think it's worth, The body is in great shape (there are two small dents on the roof from the previous owner) and the engine speaks for itself. I will probably start at $7500 and go from there. What do you think?

Aftermarket mods do not add value to your car. If someone got a loan to buy your car, the bank only gives you loan value on the car.

yep, your mods will do nothing for you unless you try to sell it to another person who values that sort of thing. You're probably better taking them off and selling them seperately, then selling the car stock.

As for what to sell it for, that depends. Dealers around here are selling 95-96 maxima's with 130k+ miles for anywhere from $4-8k depending on condition and options. If you're selling privately, you won't get as much as the dealer is asking. I seriously doubt you'll get $7500 for it, unless it's loaded and in 100% perfect condition, and even then I doubt it. Check out the classifieds and see what private sellers are asking for similar cars, then price accordingly.

Revert the car back to its original configuration if possible for maximum value. You can sell your used mod parts to people on the org here to get the most out of your car. There will be people that wouldn't mind used aftermarket parts. If you did work to modify the tail lights and they're legal, I'd just leave them though, if its a good job, probably no one will even notice its not stock.

If the stereo is better than the stock stereo was, if it wasn't a Bose to begin with, leave it in, take out subs and amps if you have them, cover up all additional holes you've made in the car very well. Make sure the CEL light always stays off.
