Are Struts and Shocks the Same Thing?

I wnat to replace my shocks. Are they the same as struts?

In a general sense, they perform the same function. The difference is in how they are connected to the car.

Maxima's use struts.

If you just want to stay close to stock in terms of ride feel, go with KYB GR-2 struts or Tokico. www.tirerack.com has some of the best prices.

4th Gen Maxima's have struts in the front and shocks in the rear

but on my car i have shocks in the front and rear

one of the most joyous days in my life. last year when my AGX were delivered to my school address

and the mail room guy looks at the box and asks "whats the difference between gas shocks and regular shocks"
