Console/Window Switches Panels

Ok I'm swapping my regular panels with the woodgrain. My panels are still stuck on nice, with adhesive still present. Should I use Goo-Gone around the edges and pry it up? Also, should I use some kind of adhesive for a seal, or will it be fine on it's own?

Are you sure they're stuck on with adhesive? All of the trim pieces (including window switch trim) in my car are held on by little metal clips. Pry firmly and they should pop right off.
