What exactly does this do??? i know it has a lot to do with restrictions for pollution and emmissions and things like that. but do you really get any HP gains from replacing the stock with the random tech one. I have a 98 SE...is the 95 or 96 stock CAT any better. would it give my car any gains. if so ...who wants to sell me one.. haha. just wondering.. also would like to buy stock 95/96 cat if it does produce gains.

Search for topic rt cat and you will find tons of stuff. I noticed a little gain from it. Jeff did dyno tests on it. Its somethin like 6hp at wheels and 17lbft torque. Dont know if that is actually true but thats what his results were. I dont think the 96 cat will do you any good.

the rt cat will give you gains based on what you have on your car now. a 95 cat might give you gains compared to a 98, but i don't know.. you could give it a shot. i could sell you mine..

I have a RT CAT for sale!

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....threadid=15961

I have one 2-1/2" RT High Flow Cat, PN#822530, for a 97-99 Maxima for sale. It has ~2,500 miles on it. I installed it on 7/21 and took it off 10/14 when I installed my "test pipe". It is the model that does not have the O2 sensor hole in it. The extension piece shown with it is not needed for instalation and is not included.

Look here for dyno info about the RT Cat
http://www.randomtechnology.com/results.htm
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/9289/dyno.html

$120 for the cat alone (w/decal shown), all reasonable offers considered.
Jobber retail for this is normally ~$170.
Plus shipping costs of your choice. Est. ~$10 UPS Ground
