Finally Got to Install 8000k HID and KYB AGX!!

I had to wait for over a month to install the AGXs and HIDs that were sitting in my garage because they were Christmas gifts...

Yesterday afternoon I installed the Hanabi 8000k HIDs ...they look extremely nice and after aiming them correctly tonight, they light up the road like it is day.

JoesMax and I installed the AGX's today and all I can say is WOW!!! My stock struts were blown due to riding on Sprint springs for about 6 months and H&Rs for 6 months prior to that. The ride comparison is night and day! I have them set on 3 up front and 6 in the rear and the ride is very, very stiff and very controlled. Before, I was bouncing and jumping all over the place. It sucked...

I'll try and take some pics of the 8000k's when the weather is nicer, but most of you guys know what they look like anyway (thanks Freddie!)

- Tony

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I ordered the Stillen kit tonight and should have that by next week and painted soon after!! Thanks Alex at SWA for the SICK deal on it...

yea the install went pretty well.. i told you there would be enough room in my garage, and we didnt have to freeze.

i cant wait to get some for my car, ill probably do it over the spring.. we will get to test the struts on the way to CT tomorrow

The ride should be very enjoyable, as long as there's no ice and minimal water... :-)

I sure will...I aimed them down so they shouldn't blind anyone. The color is not nearly as blue as I thought they'd be, so I should be fine with cops.

the ride was bouncy on your old struts? I thought worn struts are floaty (205k on my stock struts...these are floaty!)

If you want bouncy, put the struts on max and see how jarring the ride becomes.

Which way do your rear strut dials face?

Jae

The ride was just plain horrible! The rear end bounced all over the place and did not keep the wheels on the road well at all, the front was very harsh and loud on bumps.

The rear strut dials face in, that way they are easy to adjust simply by reaching behind the rim. My rims have openings large enough for me to reach right through and change the dial making it much more convenient.

No I do not have a camber kit, but it is necessary to get an alignment with the springs (you should with ANY lowering spring). I'm getting an alignment done this weekend to make sure I am good after installing the AGXs
