RedLine MT gear oil

I have a slight oil leak which appears to be coming from the seals near the transmission. The Redline gear oil says that it is much less viscous than the stock gear oil. I am concerned that putting less viscous gear oil in my transmission is going to worsen my oil leak. I have heard of other Maxima owners with an oil leak around the same area as mine. Does anyone with this leak put Redline gear oil in their MT? Did the leak get any worse?

In general, anything that leaks prior to switching to a synthetic will leak more after. If the leak is real small and has just begun, it's possible the high ester content of Redline might help the seal swell enough to stop the leak. All bets are off if the leak is being caused by bearing issues...
