60$ for brake shims?
Is this right?
I searched but can't find the price on OEM Nissan shims...
I just went to the local dealer, Staten Island parts... they told me 60$ for front and back shims..
Is this right? WTF
They are just thing metal pieces.. how the hell do they cost 60$?
I am doing my brakes right now, I totally forgot to buy new shims and i have everything else... my stock ones are pretty worn, i rather replace them but no one has them locally except the dealer and i rather not pay 60$ for them!

Meaning front and back, a pair for each corner?
there is no way i'll pay 60 bucks for shims!
local auto parts store doesn't have them either.. i'm going to re-use the ones that were on my car in the rear..
i just got the front ones off and these shims look fairly new..

If you need pads too, buy the Performance Friction pads. They come with the shims stamped onto the pads.

The dealer probably quoted you for a brake hardware kit. There is one for the front calipers and one for the rears. Each kit contains shims for the pads as well as the caliper retaining clips, anti rattle springs and other misc items used changing the pads
As previously posted, many aftermarket pads come with shims included
