Hahaha missing part

Well today me and my dad were looking at the car and we noticed that a piece of intake tubing is GONE! If you are facing the car (stock) on the right side, is the point of entry for the intake. Just below that, I think, should be a piece of plastic (I assume) that angles at 90 degrees to the right. Since the tubing is gone, will this possibly make the engine run a little bit hotter than normal?? Here is the picture of what I am trying to describe. What I am missing is below the arrow, sorta.

It won't do anything, don't worry about it.

That pipe goes to a resonator box located below the battery. Some people take off the elbow part that you lost and add a straight pipe down to the plastic shielding under the car then cut a hole there. The idea is to force more air into the intake from under the car as while it's moving. It's known as the OSCAI.

Since you're missing the pipe anyway, might as well give it a try.
