B & G question...

I plan on switching springs and I really want the B&G's. Does the rear really sag?

*** Yes I did search ***

I wanted others opinions...

It doesn't sag, but the drop is lower relative to the front. I remember hearing 1 finger.

If you want an even drop, try H&Rs. They're perfectly even on my car. (I would've liked the rear a little higher though but oh well)

edit: I meant to say that rear is 1 finger lower relative to the front, not the actual gap being 1 finger only.

If your an auto B&G's will be even. And if you are a 5spd the rear will be one finger lower than the fronts with an empty trunk (like mentioned above). Front fender flares are cut bigger than the rears though so this would actually be an even drop on a 5spd, or close to it.

I have them and like the drop alot, and the ride is awsome!

Setup = B&G + Kyb Agx's 2 on front 4 on rear

my car looks okay; I haven't really seen this problem with 5spds, but there aren't that many people running B&G's that I have seen.

My 95 auto is 1 finger lower in the rear with the stereo system in it (sub + amps weigh prolly like 80lbs). I just got a 99 5spd.....my dads keeping my suspension in the other car and wants it cause it has no payments, haha, so it will be a couple months before I get the money to get the new suspension again.

I will tell you this though, I had my BG and KYB AGX's on that car for about 5 months now and the ride isnt that much worse then the what the SE I have now is...its not that much more harsh, just lower your shocks to like 1/2 and its great, still handles much better then stock, and looks sharp!!

Just dont know what I will do now that I have stereo + 5spd.....LOL. Might have to go with sprint fronts? lol

I got my AGXs and B&Gs from shox.com too. With a 5spd. B&Gs will sit lower in the rear, but even Sprints don't sit evenly. B&Gs are a good spring, but are definitely firmer than SE springs. I considered H&Rs, but B&Gs dropped more, gave comparable ride qualities, and cost less.

And the extra weight of the blower will help.

Supercharger and auto will sit it down

I think this is misleading.
I've had so many different suspensions on my car, and the AGX on 2/4 (factory) and B&G are super awesome. The same setup with H&R was pathetic; the springs were not strong enough for the shocks, and the back end skipped around too much for me. B&G's are infinitely stronger; you can tell looking at the design as well.

You make me want to replace my H&Rs with B+Gs. I actually had the B+Gs in my living room, and I saw them. Bright red if I remember correctly, and very big. I was putting them around my arms and pretending I was Havok from Marvel Comics

Anyway, if it wasn't for getting our 2nd Maxima (which my dad gave me as a present) which is a 5-speed, I would get the B+Gs. I wish the back wasn't dropped as much though...on a 95-96 Max especially, it doesn't look too good. My perfectly even H&R drop even annoys me sometimes. I like the look of our stock springs Maxima from directly in the back. It looks a lot more ready to race (aggressive) than my Max with H&Rs. Oh well...what can you do....without money...

B+G Drop, settle time < 1 Week:

H&R Drop, settle time > 1 year:

When the B+Gs are fully settled, the car will be will be lower than my car above. Just a comparision for those interested.

BWAAAAAHAHAHA! Nice! Yes, big and red! Very thick springs; the H&R's are not even close to the thickness. However, if H&R made the stage springs they make for LeMans and WRC cars for the Max, it would be another story. Too limited an application; I guess they meant them to be slipped over OEM-style shocks and struts.

lol. I prefer handling over looks; this is why I don't have a body kit, but I do have AGX! It's personal preference. You may want handling with a smoother ride...GR2 and H&R is perfect for that. But IMO, having been with all the suspensions I've been with in my short time with Max (tokico+H&R, AGX+H&R, AGX+B&G), I'm liking what I have a great deal. It's not comfy with my winter tires, but when the A520's are back on it's like...well I guess as close as I can afford to get to a coilover setup.
