My car sucks these days

Ever since this mechanic fu@ked up my engine and had a used one swapped in, my power seems to have decreased. Everything checks out fine and doesn't seem to burn any liquids though. Any ideas? My interset was sparked when my friend's 2001 6cyl. Eclipse gave me a run for my money. We only raced through an intersection+30 ft. or so, but he was half a car ahead of me.
I have a FrankenCar+BudgetY that Nissan put on for me. Do you think that they could have fitted the Y-pipe on different;y thatn it should or what??
Any info is appreciated. Thanks

what you told us is vague. we need details. did the used motor that was swapped in have more miles on it then the original. what's the current condition of the new motor?

fact is you have a different motor and although it's technically the same motor, it's still a different motor and might not be in as good of shape as your original. I also doubt the Y-pipe could have been fitted differently. It bolts on.

All I know about the new engine is that they did compression and leak tests on it, and the engine had 88K on it compared to my orginal that had 98K.

Also, a little of the topic, but when I start out in fist gear, I hear the front end of my car making some sort of creaking noise. kinda weird.

May I ask why you swapped in a new motor when you only had 98k?

This mechanic was supposed to replace my water pump, and ****ed up my tensioner and chain. This cause low oil pressure in the engine, which lead to metal shavings in the oil pan.
