Conversion Question

I am having the actual 5speed tranny installed by a tranny shop locally and they called and said that the piece that bolts on to the auto flywheel comes off when uninstalling the flywheel, and that I need a new piece that bolts to the engine to connect the manual flywheel. Is this correct? I was looking at the write up and it seemed to me that it fits onto the piece that was there for the auto flywheel.

Thanks,
Justin

u can use the bolts from the auto flywheel...only difference from the bolt of a auto flywheel to manual flywheel is that the manual ones are a lil longer...no biggie...

Thanks I will be sure to tell them that. Do you think it is bad if they removed that piece with the threads on it? Can it be reinstalled?

Well i bought all the parts for 1500 from a guy on the org, but then found out that he was missing a few things. So that cost me 200 bucks more. I installed the pedals and ripped apart the dash and shifter and then gave it to them to take out the tranny and put the new one in. I decided to let them do the work because i didnt even have a clutch aligning tool and i figured they would have an easier time dealing with the huge auto tranny when it came out. They are charging by the hour so i cant tell you how much it is gonna end up costing but a guess would be 500.

Thanks,
Justin
