popcharger, hybrid, and PRCAI - my conclusions ALSO WSP metallic substrate cat

Today I finally got my lower portion of the PRCAI installed and i noticed a DEFINITE increase in low end performance. People often say that your high end decreases with a CAI but I found that not to be the case here. Now maybe I am wrong, but I didnt notice an increase in high end performance, just that there was no loss. Also, the CAI is considerably less loud inside the car than the popcharger or the hybrid intake. I found the hybrid intake to be the loudest of all due to the resonators that were taken out. I might switch back and forth between the two (hybrid/CAI) but for the most part I am very happy with my purchase. Thanks to Rhonda's(RR95SE) husband Kirk for the installation.

The Warpspeed hi - flow metallic substrate cat was what i thought it was going to be. People on the org. told me to not notice any significant difference and I didnt. Sounds the same too. I have a y pipe and catback so Im sure I probably picked up 1-3 horsepower but nothing like the y-pipe alone. Anyway I thought I would just share my experiences for anyone who has had trouble deciding which intake to get or so on.

I've had Pop, hybrid, and CAI as well. The CAI by far sounds and looks the best. Don't you agree?

same here, I do agree it sound better than my PR/stillen hybrid but I did some testing and felt that the hybrid was a better set up for me as I deffinetly noticed better performance high end over the CAI.

ross- people say theres a loss in high end with a CAI when compared to a hybrid setup not cai vs stock.

i've had CAI and hybrid and a hybrid with a stillen or JWT intake (those big diameter ones have given me the most power by far. tHe PR CAI sounds the best when u pull on that throttle but inside the car the hybrid with a big filter sounds the best and also gave me the most power IMO...the PR CAI, it was strong but i forget if the power was better at really low end vs hybrid....

i choose hybrid with big filter over anything though

Yeah- High end I believe that the hybrid might be better, only by the slightest margin. Its really too hard to tell. Many people might let the sound of the two intakes at WOT confuse them with performance. I dont think there is too much of a loss with the CAI in high end.
