Question about Eibach springs
Question about Eibach springs
Regarding Eibach springs, I know that on certain cars using lowering springs with stock struts/shocks isn't a good idea. I understand that sometimes it can either cause floatiness depending on the spring rate, or sometimes a severely compromised strut/shock life. What are everyone's experiences using Eibach springs with stock struts on the Maxima? Is it a good idea? Also, anybody have any write-ups or tips on installing them? Would it be a good idea to re-pack the strut mount bearings while it's all apart? Finally, how much do Eibachs really tighten things up and improve grip? Thanks in advance!

I have Eibachs with Tokico struts. The ride is very floaty and uncontrolled. I would think that it would be even worse with OEM dampers.
Just save up some more money and get KYB AGX struts to go on with the Eibachs.

Does it just ride/handle like crap, or kill the shocks, or what?

People will say that it handle fine. These people have not driven a car that truly handles well.
