Will the Frankencar mid-pipe and Stillen pop-charger work together
Will the Frankencar mid-pipe and Stillen pop-charger work together
I did a search and couldn't find anything that gave me a straight answer to my question. My friend has a 97 Max and wants to order the frankencar mid-pipe, but before ordering he wants to know if he can use the Stillen intake with the stillen bracket or would it require modification to fit with the mid-pipe? If he keeps the stillen will he have to use another support bracket?
Re: Will the Frankencar mid-pipe and Stillen pop-charger work together
Sure it'll fit. The Stillen pop goes on the MAF sensor with the MAF adapter included. And the Frankencar midpipe goes from the TB to the other side of the MAF. Many people have this setup for their intake.
TB > coupler > midpipe > coupler > MAF > adapter > Stillen pop
TB > coupler > midpipe > coupler > MAF > adapter > Stillen pop

TB > coupler > midpipe > coupler > MAF > adapter > Stillen pop

OH , I know what you mean now but to tell the truth I'm not sure. Try measuring. If it's not the same length maybe you can just eliminate that bracket support thing. It's not NEEDED. The filter should fit just fine, I've seen it before.

I have this setup. They will fit. I have a 97 GXE with f.midpipe and s.k&n with bracket.
Do they fit? Yes.
Do you have to align the midpipes to make them fit? Yes.
Bottomline: They will fit together with some effort in arranging the midpipe connections.
You will know what I am talking about when you install these two.

i have a stillen pop intake, and was thinking about doing the mid pipe. i like the sound of my intake now, but heard that the mid pipe makes it louder (since its removing a resonator). how much louder is the intake with the midpipe. i dont mind an increas upon WOT, but would be annoyed if it droned while crusing at normal speeds or on the highway.

I got JWT+midpipe and I think JWT alone make the deeper and throaty sounds than the JWT+midpipe.
Since JWT and Stillen pop are almost the same (some people said the stillen pop is even deeper), I don't agree that the midpipe will make the sound deeper.
However, I DO agree the midpipe is much louder.

I have this setup too. The bracket does fit fine right where it is. Just make sure you don't tighten any of the brackets on the couplers until everything is aligned. You're going to have to do a little bit of twisting and turning but everything does fit, pretty snugly too.
