Not so impressive 50-90mph video

OK, so compared to the recent turbo videos we've had it's pretty lame, but hey, it's all I have, and it's my pride and joy. My Max only goes to 119 before the speed limiter kicks in, so I can't do a 50-120 or 50-135 mph video!

All I have is home made intake and Budget Y pipe

you should shift a little earlier (6300 on the 2-3 shift)

I guess I need to look at a Dyno for optimum shift points for racing. This was just a test of the video camera mount, more than anything else. I think I'll try and mount it more central, and get a view out of the windshield as well as the instrument cluster.

C'Mon man. Thats not so bad. Won't see any Hondas doing it that fast.

Thanks.
I'd have to point the camera behind me to film the hondas I guess..
I thought about doing a 50-119mph video, but it would take up too much bandwidth!

Which intake are you going for? I love how throaty it sounds at wide open throttle.
I have absolutely no complaints with my current setup. The home made intake is just a cone filter. The Budget Y Pipe was easy to install (see write up on page 3 of my cardomain site) and it fitted perfectly, and doesn't appear to make any more noise than the stock pipe. There is definitely more power throughout the power band though. I lost low end when I put the intake on.

I wouldnt go so far as to call it "disembowelment"...more like "optimization"

it only takes what? 5 mins...

5 mins cutting a wire is worth more than hitting the limiter while a SOHC Civic DX walks you on the highway

Re: Re: Not so impressive 50-90mph video

I have read the FAQ - in fact I've also referred people to your ECU Mod post.
I generally don't feel the need to go faster than 100mph at anytime, so for now I'm going to continue to drive sans SES light.

I guess the way I posted that looked like I wanted to go faster..
If I did not have the speed limiter, I still would not be posting a 50-120mph video - just becuase it would be about a minute long!

true - although I would probably not take any race above 110mmph.
Couple of questions.
1. Does anyone have this mod set up with a switch - so you can turn it on or off?
2. Does activating this mod while driving cause the CEL to come on immediately, or does it only come on when the car is started with the circuit broken?
