Hey guys -

Today I bought a set of superwhite 1157 corner bulbs...installed them and then the fuse blew. I have them re-wired to use the higher wattage filiment, which on these bulbs is 35W ( and I think the stocks are 27W ).

So, I figure I have to put a bigger fuse in. Stock is 7.5, so I put in a 10...is that enough? Too much?

Thanks.

I did the rewire too in my 97, and blew my fuse while using stock bulbs... I popped in a 15 amp fuse and havent had any problems. I was going to go for the 10 like you, but I don't want to have a fuse blow on me while on the road... 15amps isn't too much or too little from what I know...

35 watts is kinda high....consider that it's normally 5-7 watts....

35 watts?

I also think 35 watts is little too high. To me they also seem to be a little brighter than the headlights. Try getting the Polarg 5w/21w 1157's. I'm running those with the suggested 7.5 fuse and it has never gone out on me.

I belive the stock bulbs are 8/27...and I was using the 27 filiment. I know people use both, and don't have the same problem.

Besides, with my newly installed APC Harness, the cornering lights don't look bright at all
