i saw on someone's homepage they had a jdm vairable intake manifold, and i was wondering if anybody can get ANY jdm performance parts???

is a mevi a large metal piece that looks like it replace the intake manafold? and does is add 50 hp to the wheels? cause that is what some one was baosting on their home page. and the guy said he got it from japan.

Sounds like Dave B's homepage. The variable intake does add somewhere around 40hp-50hp at 6500 rpms. It's not peak HP, don't be confused. If you don't understand what the variable intake is then do a search.

 

Look below for a pic of my Variable Intake, I havent installed it yet. Baggs553 got like 80 fwhp from his VI, the only problem is that it kicks in the last 500 RPM.

Can you buy one for 95 Max? variable intake

 

they flatten out the power curve so you are making more power through out.


RPM switch. it activates when you hit a certain RPM. you can get them through various group deals if there is an opening. courtesy nissan was selling them, but i think they stopped. expect to spend $700 including shipping and all the necessary parts.
