Skyline Body Kit & Headlight replacement/W photoshop stuff

ok heres the deal im trying to figure out what a different front end on the maxima would look like. I really like the skyline kit for the most part, but i agree with most that the extra holes and notch in the center dont help the look. So i played with photoshop for a while and these are my results.

Tell me what you think? The Pics

Another Try with the white skyline kit

More Pics

Thanks for the thoughtful responses!

i don't really like the skyline bodykit.

if you shave the bumper lenses are you gonna use your corner lights as turn signals?

I'm more into keepin my car less noticeable. If ya know what i mean.

EDIT:how come you didn't shave the bumper lenses on the white maxima?

Strange... If I just click the link I Xs on both pages...

But if I get the properties of the images and paste the address into a new window they open fine

Anywho, I like the second black max. Not too big on the extended hood or eyebrows, but it definitely looks much better with the front notches and bumper lights filled in.

must be somekind of problem with link/dns between you and the host?
But its free so i cant complain. And its use is unlimited for those of you looking for good free hosts. www.crosswinds.net is pretty good.

Im still kind of on the fence about the raked hood and R34 Style lights, but if im paying for bodywork id like to get everything done all at once.

custom body kit

I like your imagination. I think the max would very nice. You can do what I did and take a dark tint spray and paint the clear bumper lights. On a black max like yours and mine this looks awesome. It blends in with the body paint perfectly and cleans up the front facia still allowing light to pass through the paint. It looks sweet at night, I'm getting some pics soon, I'll try and post them. Good job,

I like the 3rd picture down with S14 front. However I would keep the DC clears.

SonicDust187 - Look @ the white max in the 2nd set of pics to see it with DCCC.

MadMax95 - i might have been designing around the s15 and not known it. I was in traffic the other day and a 240SX with almost that exact hood passed me. Thats kinda where i got the idea. But with the skyline bumper its even cooler looking.

I think i would go with sylvia style headlights over the r34, they seem too tall for me, i like the agressive "slanted eyes" the sylvia lights have.

Gramdacious - Possibly any brandnames ? for this tinting spray - sounds like it looks good, get some pics up quick, if you need i can host em for ya, just email me.

Glad everyone mostly likes something so far! and not one wishy washy yet!

Hey man I would love to get some of that spray for my dark green max. Does it come off if I dont like the way it looks and where did you get it? Is the light that much darker with the paint covering the DC clears.

tint spray brands

I found the
tint spray on a VW site, they use it to "smoke" the rear taillights on Jettas, and GTIs. The Brands are : Testors model no. 1634 "Transparent Black Window Tint" in a 3oz. spray can. And also : Testors/Pactra model no. RC294 "Window Tint" in a 3oz. can.
You can find these at a hobby shop, they are for RC cars and models. Make sure you apply 2 coats of a sealer. I used auto paint clear coat after applying 2 coats of tint. I have vigorously washed the bumper lights and have had no peeling, cracking or dulling. They are shiney just like the Super Black paint on my Max. I imagine if you do have peeling, it would be easy to remove the tint and turn the bumperlights back to clear just in case.
