I have had two sets of Bridgestone Potenza RE730 so far and it will take a strong recommendation to sway me from these rubbers. Awesome wet/dry traction and long life. $117/each-tirerack.com.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Sumitomos.

How many miles did you get on your first pair? I went with the 950's because of the tread life warrenty. The 730's don't have one. I am thinking of going with the 730's next time since I have heard they get decent tread life.

Try looking at the Federal 595. federaltire.com They are very good quality and not that expensive. I just got them on my new Enkei RS-5 18's.

I had those Nitto 450's on my last car, a Civic hatchback. They vastly improved the car's handling (I had Michelins on there before) and wet weather traction.

My brother had both HTR+ and Nitto. He is Deven2kstick max on the 5th gen forum. The Nittos got stuck on 2inches of snow, but was excellent wet traction and dry. The HTR+ is an excellent all season tire , walks through anything it is put in front of. "Decide well , because your life could depend on the consequences that may follow".

I had the Nitto's and just got the HTR+> The Nitto's have better traction for cornering, but the HTR+ have better ride quality.

It was about 25k. pretty good considering my driving style...burnin' and screechin'. Although i went with them due to the great traction to price ratio.
