not sure about the best bulb, but you can get a dual filament bulb and wire it so its brighter .... ie if you look on 95-96 maximas their clearance lights get brighter when the turn signal is on , depending on which side... you can wire yours up on a 95-99 ... im pretty sure.....

The code for the clearance/cornering light bulb is #1157. Have you ever used Polarg bulbs? if not, u can do some research on the net and u can also find them on ebay for around $15 shipped. They are hyper white by the way. Hope this helps

I saw a lot of bulbs in www.Autotoys.com They used to carry high wattage bulbs for 1157, but not sure if they still have them.

Yeah, I Went with the Polargs Polarg M14(1157)($10/ea at the local import shop) in my corner lights and they matched up great with the Nokya 9004 Arctic Whites great once i rewired my cornering lights, its an easy mod to do! I have a 95 Maxima GLE

There are two ways to make them brighter, i choose to rewire it. Search on the forums for a how to.
