Walbro Fuel Pumps. Why multiple Part Numbers?

The Walbro pumps that fit a maxima are GSS342.
But all the part numbers I see have a slash and second portion of the part number.
i.e. "GSS324/400-847", "GSS342/400-826", etc

Is the second part of the PN just an installation kit we dont need?

If this has previously been addressed, I apologize, but searching led me no where.
Please advise.

Thank You.
Christian.

That is ine thing I'm pretty sure of. The second part of the PN is the difference from reman and new, the both have the same install kit, but the new part usually costs more than the reman but the reman is usually just as good as the new.
PS did you know that the first PN (GSS324) is not the same as the second(GSS342) maybe that is where your getting hung up

I was told by the guy doing the group deal that the difference is the installation kit. No installation kit is needed for 4th Geners.
