Door mirror defogger for 1995 maxima

Hi all:

I did some searches and did find some references to people having heated mirrors or defoggers. At first I thought these were available only on later years of the 4th gen or only on certain trim levels like SE or GLE.

I just looked in my service manual and found a reference for a door mirror defogger (page BF-40 in 1995 service manual)

Seems like some fuses and relays control it all. Was this an option or did all 1995 models have it? As far as I can recall, my door mirrors always have condensation buildup on a cool morning. The condensation doesn't go away until driving for a while or unless I wipe it off.

Either it was optional and my car doesn't have it or my stuff is broken. I'll see if I can find anything when I check my car.

This was an option. If you have heated seats, you should have this defog your door mirrors when the rear defroster goes on. If you dont have heated seats, I believe youre out of luck.

heated dorr mirrors

Hi,

I have a '95 Se that came without the heated option. Yes, it was an option and along with the way options were (and still are) bundled, I chose not to go for it. But...I bought the heated mirrors, installed the realay and ran the power wire so that I now have the option. It's definitely a doable job and is well worth it. They come on with the heated rear window defogger and go off at the same time. I did a number of other retrofits to make the plain SE even better. Like I installed a variable intermittent stalk, put in the woodgrain and drawer, put in the bose speaker covers, installed a windshield washer tank with low fluid sensor, put in an alarm system and a remote trunk release (rocker switch in the dash), installed a cd player and upgraded all the speakers to MB Quarts - and put tweeters in the little black triangles at the front botton of the front doors. So...there's a lot you can do to improve your Max.!

Good luck!
Tom
