how-to remove dash?

You should clear coat it, and you will not be able to remove the A/C panel to paint that (some think that looks awkward). You start by prying up the bottom of the shiftertrim, it is held in by clips. Be causeful not to lose the clips, they will pop off when you pry the piece up.
