marcdown needs to know what weight gear oil our 5spds use. i think its like 85-90w... but i can't remember. i'm gonna search, but if anyone knows help us out.

 

I used Redline... Depends where you live (hot or cold temps). I thknk I used MT-90 Redline. If you live in a primarily warm/hot climate you might want the thicker oil. Made a huge diff in shifting smoothness.

 

gl4 80w-90. good luck finding it...very very very rare. I had some 75w-90 and got tranny noise. Went back to 80w-90 and it's silent and smooth. I got some no-name brand. if you really must know, i can goto the garage and find out.

I've never been able to find 80W-90 GL4 conventional oil. There are a few synthetics though

 

what did you end up using? amsoil?
