engine is almost stalling out
i have a 5-sp, and when ever i put it into nutral the car almost dies out.. the rpms drop to about 300 and the car shakes a bit then repounds to about 500 rpms... what do you guys think the problem is... has anyone had this problem before...

You can adjust the screw atop the iacv...BUT, this wouldn't solve
your problem...just band-aid it...If your car is almost stalling out,
it's not because the idle control screw changed itself...

All of a sudden, I have this problem too. I especially notice it when I'm downshifting, it's hard to match revs when the RPM's drop to 300 for a bit before bouncing back. I also have some strange idle issues when I first start it in the morning. Sometimes the RPM's will oscillate from 1500 to 300 once or twice before settling down.
BTW - I had my 60k service a few weeks ago (plugs, filters, etc.) This couldn't be a fuel delivery issue, could it? I guess they had a hell of a time getting the fuel filter swapped. The RPM thing started happening immediately after the service. What would happen if the idiots put the filter on backwards??
Anyway, good luck. If I discover the problem, I'll post again.
