Old Maxima Blues
I've got 150k and I'm sick of the squeals, rattles, creaks, shakes, etc. The only good thing about 150k with my Max is the engine runs like a champ, (with a minor idle hiccup here and there). There's so many other little fixes that need to be made. Wheel bearings, trunk rattle, Y-Pipe noise, and more. Can't get more mods until work is done
Anyway, just letting some steam off.

your gonna really need to let some steam off once you find out how much bearings cost to replace

i hope you are a back yard mechanic and plan on doing some or all the repairs yourself..

I'll do all of the necessary repairs to keep the car running. As far as the wheel bearings, I don't have a bearing press so i'll have to take it to a shop.
When I'm finally fed up with doing repairs, i'll just go shopping for a 2k2 6spd.

I know you can't do the press but you can save alot on doing the labor yourself and then bring the hubs and let them push the old out and put the new in. Then put everything back on the car.

Thats a good idea. You just saved me some dough. I never took my hubs off before but I hope it's easy to do. I guess it's back to the Haynes Manual.
