Ok guys. My max is all bolted out now.

I have PRCAI, ypipe, RT cat, Warpspeed B and HKS muffler as my power mods. I will be getting a dyno on Feb 4th. We'll see how much HP these mods make. I'm gonna be doing 1 run on NOS too. I got a about 70HP at the wheels setup, so I expect to see an addition of at least 60-70HP over the all motor run. I am thinking about the VI.. I would like to get one, but I'm not sure if I can install that sucker myself. Everything done to my car so far, including suspension and NOS and etc.., I did'em myself, but I'm not sure if I can handle the VI. Looks like the VI kit got a billion small parts, and you have to mess with electrical connections too.. I am not familiar with electric stuff at all. Well anyways, just wanted to inform my fellow org members. This all started with a set of clear corners.

P.S.
I thought about getting an UDP, but I got my belts changed recently and I dont wanna bother with the whole thing again, so I dont think I'll be getting and UDP anytime soon.

Since you live around me Hokie I can help you w/ the VI install. We installed three one long night at Requin6's joint about a month and a half ago. Let me know. You may want to wait and see though - j_bryan had his VI dynoed and I'm getting mine dynoed on Feb 2 but it would appear that you really need the JWT ECU to fully optimize the VI. YOu may want to calculate that into $$$$$$$$$$

Hokie -

Dave in York here.

If you can install a nitrous kit you can certainly install the VI. The electrical set up is quite simple (in hindsight) and the removal of the VI really is plug and play.

Sounds like you have some local help which makes it much easier........ I only had Redmaxpa to help and he knew as much about the install as I did.

With experienced people there, it should not be any more than a couple of hour job.

Make sure you have all of the parts prior to starting although, you can zip tie the lever for the valves if you don't have the vacuum set up

Get it you won't regret it!

Jeff told me that when he did a VI install that it took like 24 hours....but parts were needed that he didn't nkow about, and since he had never done one, that's why it took so long, but i think it shouldn't take too too long with the people who could help you out in the dc area Ethan....about the UDP, you'd only have to buy one new belt, because the smaller belt on the udp is the stock size, you could just use that one you just changed, warpspeed b pipe and hks muffler? must be a nice nice setup and sound, who would have sold you something like that?

The reason i ask is ,im going to have light weight accessorie pulleys made and if the power steering pully were made a litte bit bigger it would slow down the PSP and give tighter steering. For more info check my post at 4th gen parts for sale.

Thanks for the offer! If I really do get one, I'll let you know ! Oh the dyno is on the 2nd of Feb, not 4th. I guess we'll see each other there.
