Good deal?

If found a '99 SE-L for sale (finally) here in Omaha. Its red, 5spd, cloth, Bose, sunroof, 46,000mi, clean Carfax for $16,999. I know theyll come down some, but what do you guys think? There isnt much around here to pick from. Its that one or a '98 GLE auto, burgundy, leather, sunroof, heated seats, etc for $16,999.

Yup. Waaay too much. Did you try the dealer in SW Omaha. Used to be Hawkins... You could always buy my 95 5 speed for less than 1/3 of that. Hell I've seen 2002s for around that price. bought my 99SEL 5 speed NEW for $20,000 even and that was 4 years ago.

Hawkins is Woodhouse now. Thats were I was for 4 hours today. They have the '98 GLE. They let me take it home tonite....but now its under like 5" of snow. Oh well. They had a 2k with 105,000mi....they could have gotten the price under $11G, but thats a lot of miles. I was close to getting a '99 Altima GXE 5speed for $10,200. Right now, Im trying to figure out if the Max is worth another $50/mo and another year on a loan...I know you will all say 'Yeah its worth it', but thats alot of money.

Not to mention Ill have about $18,000 in student loans to pay off starting next summer (hopefully).

Hey guys I'm at Offutt AFB and am looking for a Maxima deal. I've went to Woodhouse, Stan Olsen, and Lake Manawa. Stan Olsen is crap, they are very rude and snotty. Woodhouse and Lake Manawa are both offerening me similiar deals, which one do you reccomend I go with? Both seem good, right now Woodhouse is giving me a slightly better deal and they are more convienient considering that they are less than 2 miles from the base. Any advice is welcome, thanks.

I was selling my 95 Maxima 5 speed for $4500 and nobody bit on it?

Anyways...Just keep looking around. Ebay is a good place-it'd be worth the drive to Dallas (lots of Maximas down there). I bought my 99 SE ltd at Hawkins brand new for $20K. So I think the 99 should go for around 13k or so. Also Woodhouse usaully deals on their cars. Take your time. A max is much more fun to drive than an Altima.
