Question about Ben's ECU mod

So I followed the instructions here and here's a picture of the wire I cut, showing where I spliced the wires for the switch.

Is this the correct wire?

The question I have is this:

Should I get a CEL when I start the car? I have the switch in position on the drivers side, and no matter whether it's on the on or off position, I don't get a CEL when I start the car. I reset the ECU and still no CEL.

I just took it out for a quick test and got to 122mph before I ran out of road. Previously I would hit the limiter at 119mph (4th gear)

Just checked again and in the "On" position, the limiter cuts in at 116mph.
In the "Off" position I hit 125 mph before I slowed down.

Oh and another question. How do I get my switch to light up?

It's got three connectors,
1. Ground
2. to relay
3. to positive

The diagram shows that the switched circuit is between position 2 and 3.

If you don't run the limiter off all the time, but only once in a while, will the light still come on?

Doesn't the computer have to read like 3 or 4 faults in a row before the CEL will come on? If so, normal driving with the limiter intact, and one burst with it off shouldn't cause a CEL even after a few months or so. Right?

Correct.

A little outburst of speed every once in a while wont trip it. It comes on after about 10 minutes of driving without it.

I installed the switch today, So far, so good. I drove two 1 hour trips today, and no CEL, so the circuit must be intact.

Here's a picture of my switch position (the red thing)
