Big brake kit

Are there any big brake kits out there that are usable with 16" rims? The reason I ask is because I have a set of SSR Type C rims that are 16x7 that I am contemplating on putting on come summer time. I wanted to keep the weight as low as possible so I thought 16" was a good compromize between looks and performance. However does that mean I'm screwed out of any big brake kit?

The other problem is that in the Winter I will be putting my stock 15" SE rims back on with snow tires... I assume that even if there is a big brake kit out there that will go under 16" rims, there isn't one that will also accomodate 15" rims?

Thanks for any advice.

No, if you want a big brake kit u need to have 17 in rims. You can get 300ZX tt brakes that fit with some modification.

Doesn't Matt93SE have 16" with 12.2" rotors?

Big brake kits cost BIG BUCKS. Just go with new rotors and pads, and if you got the cash get braided lines. I got the stillen rotors when they were on sale, and I recently bought a set of brand new calipers on ebay for $26. They are not SUPER high performance, but defenatly better than stock. And you dont have to modify anything, they will work with 16" and 15" rims.
Good luck,
Dan

Does that mean that I cannot get 4-piston or 6-piston (or 8-piston ) calipers even if I get 300ZX rotors or aftermarket rotors?

A 12.2" diameter rotor kit might fit, depending on the calipers that you use and the particular fitment issues with the wheel design itself.

I don't know if the FastBrakes kit fits under 16" wheels at the moment.
