Anyone else have BOSE CD problems? I had to replace the one in my 94, and now my 97 the tape and radio are fine, but it won't spin discs.

Is it worth it to fix it? I know the BOSE adapters to put in an aftermarket CD are expensive.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

MY friend has a 98 Maxima he replaced the factory Bose HU and got some adapter from Crutchfield if im not mistaken. Honestly though, all it does is bring the resistance up from 2 ohms to 4 ohm but in my opinion it sounds too ugly when you turn it up past a certain point. Its definately not crisp at all. Best way to do it would be just to rewire and use aftermarket speakers plain and simple.

your referring to the wrong adapter. this is a adapter that will allow you to connect the bose amps via RCA. thats the adapter you need in order to get good sound
