I'm sure that its been discussed before but the FAQ didn't help to much, so my question is: what are some specfic things that i should look out for when looking at a 99 SE 5spd?

Well dammit man, a couple months ago I would have said "let's work out a trade"... I posted on the starquest message board looking for a 87-89, but only got 1 response about a broken down blue Starion. Now I'm on the waiting list for a G35 coupe.

What you should look for: low miles, good condition, clean title. There really isn't much on a '99 Maxima that's going to be a problem unless you're looking at a high-mileage car that's just worn out.

Mine is a '99 SE-Limited 5-speed, 40K, leather, moonroof, Warpspeed performance Y-pipe, Kenwood stereo (the Bose is/was crap), auto climate control, Potenza RE-730 225/50/16's (about 4 months old), Koni adjustable shocks, Eibach Pro-kit springs (1.5" lowered) etc... Hoping to get 14 for it on Ebay, but I'm shopping it around on Maxima.org first.
