Speed-sensitive central locking

Hi,

I have a UK 1995 Nissan Maxima QX, A32, 3.0 SE auto. While I was out of the country during November and December, the battery was drained and a new battery was fitted two weeks ago. Since then, the car lost its speed-sensitive central locking function.

Speed-sensitive central locking:
When I put the gearbox into Drive or when the car exceeds 15mph, the central locking will lock all doors automatically.

Would anyone kindly send me instructions on reprogramming the car to reactivate this function please?

Thank you very much.

Garrison

You could just try resetting the ECU, or leaving the battery unplugged for awhile in order to reset it. Check your manual for the battery install.. it may ask you to leave the negative terminal unplugged for like 10 min or something.
