I have done this, it works great. i have been posting this solution for awhile hope to make it simple without soldering. quick and easy, also easy to return to stock. just a lightbulb change.

I've done it that way and it is a great solution. I used my mom's nail clipper to remove the the other tab.

simple and fast

purchase or used the tail light bulbs(1156) after you clear it. (1997-1999) just take a file or used a grinder to remove one of the nibble. put the light bulb into the corner light socket with the nibble in the lower side socket. don't worry about fitting it in wrong, there is only one to fit it for the bulb to light up. the 1156 is a brighter bulb. so the corner will be brighter and match the headlight. once you compare the 1156 to 1157 bulb side by side, you will understand these instructions better.
good luck.

I am putting H4 piaa Plasmas in my cornor lights,

just a little grinding and glueing and your golden haha,I think it would probably over heat in a max's cornor light though because unlike a I30 they are always on.Just a Idea.

I tried the "shaving one nibble off technique" and it worked for half the night, then boom!! all my corners and tails went out. I checked the fuse and she blew. So i guess back to the regular voltage for me. Thanks anyway guys for the info, very easy to-do mod!! I think eventrually it will leave some kind of burn mark on the lense cause they got super hot and it was like 10o out tonight. Just my 2cents.

The stock bulb is dual filiment. If you take the stock bulb out, cut one nub off, put it in backwards it will do the same thing. Looks VERY nice.

Simple fix on that, change the fuse for the taillights relay to a 7.5 amp fuse instead of the 5 amp. That will fix it.

clearance lights

Great stuff everyone but, how come no one seems offers a superwhite 1157 27/8(w) or a superwhite 27(w) 1156 bulb? I just want to match the color of my PIAA 9004's and H3 bulbs. It seems so simple but I just can't seem to find the right replacement part. If anyone knows were to find them online it would be greatly appreciated.
