I think there is some company that makes custom bodies for 1/10 cars. I haven't had any luck finding them though.

I've never seen any R/C maxima, nor any maxima toy from Japan.

I think we should get all the maxima guys together that own 1/10th scare RC cars, and call up Protoform and ask for maxima bodies. Maybe if they get enough people, they will start mass producing the body.

I dont think it would be too easy to come up with a mold of a maxima without alot of equipment.

How would you be making it? Vacuum forming?

I don't even own an R/C, but I'll buy one if you can get the body done. Then someone really will be able to claim the first all wheel drive maxima!

There is a really easy way to come up with a "nitrous" system for an r/c car

Just use some 1/2 inch thick tubing, cut a hole in the body, and secure the tubing to the front of the body where the opening is. After this, about halfway down the tubing, cut it, and put like a little openable box there. Cut holes in the box to allow for air flow. When you get the tubing all hooked up, and it looks half-assed, just put a piece of dry ice in the box, and aim the end of the tubing at your motor It really works too, trust me.

ok, i can probably do a clay model of it 1/10 style. but it'll be a few weeks since i don't have a lot of time to dedicate to this project.

slammed95: if i made the clay model and sent it to you, would you then be able to touch it up as necessary?

for the rest of you: body kit or no body kit? wing or no wing? if yes, which one? how detailed do u want it?

clay my a s s

excuse my french but there is no way in hell anyone is going to make a maxima rc. there is no rally cars except the g20 that nissan made. that's as close to the maxima as you will go. i am into rc cars and tried many years.
here are some ideas i came up with and it looks great:
buy a bmw 540/infiniti g20/mitsubishi lancer (stock)/ paint the rear tail red/clear from the inside
the front headlight tape up to do a l.e.d transplant
paint the grill silver.
then paint it what ever color your car is. your done.

Excuse my french but they already have a Nissan Altima and a 350z out from Protoform. Besides, even if they dont start mass producing a maxima, we can still do it for ourselves, or even just talk about it. Who would want a lancer... those 4 cylindar POS's. They already have an Eclipse out, and the g20 isnt that popular.

i used to work at hobby stores. i did that for a few years. theres one thing that i noticed they always had the most common cars, like the dam civics and such. but i think HPI racing may make a mold if there is emough demand. it would be difficult but i remember someone saying something of that. so try HPIracing.com.

i was planning 4th gen since that is what i have.

on another note, does anybody have specs of a 1/10 car? i don't have a body that i can use for measurements. i need basic size: height, width, length.

hpiracing.com

I use to be on the hpiracing.com forum all the time. They make bodies for r/c, every month they came out with a new one (I don't know if they still do that). But they have a forum where you can vote/suggestion for their next body. If we all go on there and vote for our max we might have a chance!

I just bought a 1/10th 200mm Nissan Skyline body, and I would love to have a Maxima to add to my collection.

I used to have an RC10GT nitro.

THen I got tired of cleaning up all the mess, and re tuning the engine .15

So I sold it for an AWD HPI RS4. Its been sitting on my book case as a Toyota Altezza and an Audi S4 for about a year.
