Yea but see how cloudy it is out...get a sunny day and those front windows will look stock...Get 20% and be a happy man..I could not be happier with 20%..my buddy has 5% all around and its way too dark for night...35% isnt enough

my friend has 15% on his 2k2 altima. During the day it's fine, but at night he has to roll down his window to back up...which is why i'll prolly do 20% sides, and 30-35% rear.

looks nice, but the front to me doesn't look dark enough. the rear is tight tho.

anyway, i'm from houston where the legal limit is 35% all around. will cops actually pull me over to test my tint if i get 20%?

It depends on where you live....when i was living in queens, i knew people who had 5%, which is like painting your window black, and thay never had any problems. In pa, the cops give us **** about everything. They only time they will "test" your tint is if they have another reason to have you pulled over, and you're like 1 or 2 infractions away from having your car towed. Usually, driving around with underbody neons, or strobes, or anything really excessive will get the cops ****ed off enough, but i've heard stories of state troopers making kids take off their LED washer nozzles at traffic stops, then giving them a 10-day-fix-it-or-get-a-fine citations for not having washer nozzles.

I've gotten pulled over for having my headlight covers on during the day, and after the cop realized they were removable, he tried to give me **** about the clear corners. And after i showed him that there was an amber bulb in there, he let me go, but followed me until i got home, to see if i was doing anything else wrong.

It's like anything else, it all depends on your attitude, the cop's attitude, and what you were doing wrong in the first place to get yourself pulled over.

legal limit here in Atl. is 33% or something, but I got 20% and no trouble so far, even got pulled over once with the tint for speeding (86 in 55). 35% tint is way too light for me.

I dont know, I bought my car with tinted windows, and i think it's like 35%. Not that dark though, but that's the legal limit in Virginia though, i think.

looks good

i just got 20% all around.. i have always tinted all my cars to 20% all around.. but now i sometimes get the feeling it's a bit too dark..

at night, it's like 5%, you can't see anything from the outside, in..

in the day it's dark enough to barely see a shape inside but still nothing too distinct.. only on sunny days can you see something.. but still not much

however, i just felt 35% was too light as well

if i could do something like 30% or 25%, i'd be happy with that...

with 35%, in the daytime, you can see through but it's still darker than stock... gives it a nice conservative look.. when the 20% tint is a bit ghetto.. 35 at night is like 20% in the daytime..

but 35% in the sun is like barely any tint at all

this is why i went with 20s..
all the shops in my area have standard percentages.. 5, 15, 20, 35, 50..

Why do people tint the front and rears differently? It kills me. I think I'd rather have no tint than mix-matched tint.

i think it's cus lots of places require the front to be lighter than the rear

I never heard of that. I have heard of the front being illegle (no matter what level of tint). That's how it is here in CA. So I thought the logic was "If I tint my fronts lighter than the rear, it won't look like I have front tint". Give me a break. Tint is tint. Anyway, between my Maxima and my Audi I have driven a total of about 5 years in CA with dark front tint without ever getting a ticket. Even if the law did require the fronts to not go past a certian darkness, I would still rather do my whole car in the lighter tint than to have mix-matched. Sorry, just one of my pet peeves - it kills me when people tint their fronts and rears differently.

Because laws don't allow the front to be darker than 35% and seeing through the rear window at night with dark tint is the hardest thing in the world to see.

I'd still rather have 35% all around than to mix-match. :I

P.s. What does being hard to see through the rear window at night have to do with why people put dark tint on the rear but not the front??

I agree. I'm putting 25-30% all around mine soon. I have 5% on my S-10, and you can't see in or out of it at night. But then again, maybe I'm getting old.

Well some people like to have a 20% tint on their door windows and a 35% on the rear window. Which I don't think would be noticeable at all.
